freezes and crashes yosemite.

I havent used this app in a few months although I’ve had it for years.
Normally I really like it: simple. happy. fun.
I just tried to use it for the first time on Yosemite. It immediately froze my pointer. The waiting dial fliped back and forth as if posessesd. Spinning wheel of death. I couldnt close it so i forced quit. Same problem on reopening.
I logged out. logged back in and reopened. Then my whole system crashed. Next thing I knew the screen was at the login. I’ve rarely seen ANY software crash a mac before. Impressive feat!
